The newly-built "Avelia Apartments" is located in the traditional Sfakiotes in the village of Aspregarakata (Frias) on Lefkada (Lefkas) island. It is only 15 minutes from the town of Lefkada, and has easy access to the magical western beaches of the island, Pefkoulia, Agios Nikitas, Kathisma, Kalamitsi, Egremnous, and Porto Katsiki.

The "Avelia Apartments" offers its guests two marvelous apartments of 45sq.m. (484sq.ft.), tastefully decorated, that can accommodate from 2 to 4 people each.

Each apartment is fully equipped and consists of 1 large bedroom, living room, bathroom, and kitchen with all the necessities. They also feature air conditioning in all the rooms and a TV.

According to one version, the area of Sfakiotes owes its name to the settling of Cretans from Sfakia, in the 16th, or 17th century. It is a semi-mountainous area which borders on a lush valley. It is made up of the villages of Spanochori, Lazarata, Asprogerakata, Kavalos, and Pinakochori. With the passing of time they have developed to such an extent that they are practically joined to one another. Olive groves, fruitful gardens and vineyards, make up the rich green scenery.

Asprogerakata is a tradional settlement with the characteristic flag-stone square of Fria, under the shade of the huge age old oak trees. Here one can enjoy the tasty traditional food and drink the traditional Greek coffee. One can also see the historic well of Fria, the work of the English of the 18th century, which in by-gone days provided water for all the villages.
